FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS...

What if I don’t have dental insurance, can I still become a patient?

We are happy to serve all incoming patients regardless of being covered with private dental insurance.

What if you don’t take my dental insurance, can I still become a patient?

Of course! Although we may not be “participating” or “contracted” with your specific dental insurance, we do accept other plans. We have found that in-network and out-of-network coverages vary between offices, and coming to us over an in-network provider may turn out to be very close in out-of-pocket cost to you. Please call with insurance information and we will do our best to answer those questions. We encourage you to also contact your insurance company for verification of coverages.

Do you take MEDICAID?

No, we are not a MEDICAID dental provider.

How do I transfer my records to your office?

If you are interested in becoming a patient and you have had dental x-rays taken elsewhere, especially within the last year, please email them to St. Peters: hjsdental2@aol.com. If you would like your records and x-rays sent, your referring office will require YOU, the patient, to request them. We are happy to assist you with this process.

Can I go to either location?

Of course! We are happy to see you at either office. We can schedule appointments at either location FROM either location.

I have small children, when should I bring them in?

We encourage cleaning and exam appointments at east every 6 months for both our adult and pediatric patients. We are happy to see toddlers and infants in the event of a dental emergency or if you have any concerns or questions; however, we recommend a child’s first dental appointment around the age of 3.

I am having trouble completing my digital forms, what should I do?

We apologize. Make sure your birthdate is correct and that the name you are entering is the same as the way your name appears in our records/dental software. Please also notify us if you have any changes in name or address, so our information is up-to-date. If you have any questions, please call and we will assist you.

I saw Dr. Bridwell/Dr. Cavanaugh/Dr. Scanlon in the past... is this the same practice?

Yes! Dr. Cavanaugh retired from clinical dentistry in 2011, and Dr. Scanlon in 2020. Dr. Cory Glowczewski, Dr. Scanlon's daughter, had the pleasure of working with both. She, along with associate dentist, Dr. Sarah Keller, is now working to continue such wonderful care and commitment to exceptional dentistry with an honest approach.
